I am Saleha Abbasi, a psychologist committed to providing an inclusive service that helps clients overcome obstacles and harness their strengths. Building genuine, empathetic connections is central to my approach.
My background encompasses working with individuals of all ages and addressing a wide range of conditions. I find fulfilment in supporting my clients in ways that enhance their lives and improve their overall well-being.
I use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy in my work. I am also open to integrating other therapeutic methods as needed.

Fee schedule (annually updated)

From January 1, 2025: $250 per 50-minute session with a general psychologist. After a Medicare rebate of $96.65, the out-of-pocket cost per session is $153.35.
Eligibility for Medicare Rebates:
You must have a referral letter from your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician, along with a mental health care plan in place.
Eligible people can receive up to 10 individual sessions in a calendar year.
You must obtain your GP referral before your first appointment to receive Medicare rebates.
Note, that you do not require a referral from a GP unless you intend to claim a Medicare rebate.
Claiming your rebate:
When eligible for Medicare rebates, you claim via the Medicare app or website after every session and rebates will be applied directly to your account.
Cancellation/No show policy:
If you need to reschedule or cancel your upcoming session, reply to the appointment reminder text or contact the practice by email or phone.
Cancellations or reschedules made more than 48 hours before the appointment are free of charge. However, cancellations within 48 hours or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. Medicare does not offer a rebate for missed/cancelled sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, our services are not bulk-billed. However, with a Mental Health Care Plan, a referral letter, and a valid Medicare card, you may be eligible for a partial rebate on your psychology sessions, saving $96.65 per session. A Mental Health Care Plan entitles you to up to 10 Medicare-rebated psychology sessions per calendar year, and you can obtain one by visiting your GP.
No, currently we only see Self and Plan managed NDIS clients.
The frequency of the sessions is booked based on your needs and preferences. This is something that is discussed in the first appointment.
Yes, please note that review letters, reports, and form completions are billed at the session rate on a pro-rata basis.
